ABS-CBN has already purchased the rights to broadcast the remake of Darna. It is to be noted that its rival network GMA has broadcast two Darna series.The 1st series was portrayed by Angel Locsin and the 2nd one was played by Marian Rivera. Both became successful in terms of ratings.
Now, the question that anticipates the viewers is who will take the role for the 3rd time in TV?
Sabel’s Jessy Mendiola has been one of the best choices among Kapamilya young actresses since she has the best physical features to be the next Darna. She can carry a very sexy costume. (See above to compare) And she can act well and can do fight scenes.
Angel Locsin who is now a Kapamilya should definitely not consider the said project since viewers would like to see a new face for Darna. And believe it or don’t, it’s good not to see her act again in Darna because it will lead to comparisons between her last Darna role. And it’s awkward and disappointing to feel that way. On the contrary, she can act in excellence. While Marian Rivera is of course not in the list since she’s a certified Kapuso.
Possible names to be chosen are the following:
Bea Alonzo who is currently in an action drama with Robin Padilla is a positive prospect to list her.
Anne Curtis who has no drama series in line this year (no news about her having upcoming series).
Paw Diaz- Lets see how far can this girl do in Maria La Del Barrio for an action pack drama.
Queenie Padilla- has been a very active and aggressive in action scenes.
Karylle- She’s tall and flexible. It would be her come back project after her international drama series released.
Additional to the list is Cristine Reyes who is currently buzzed out to take the role.

im a kapuso but for d record whoever they consider shd be someone who’s got boobs. marian and angel were both perfect cos of that aside their beautiful body esp marian. her flawless skin and curvetous body coupled with enchanting face makes Darna interest aside her acting skills. i think d only abs-cbn actresses that may come close are reyes, hermosa and alonzo. thats about it
