Tonight, seasonal number 1 drama series ‘My Binondo Girl‘ airs finale with sorrows, hope and smile.
Primetime Princess Kim Chiu who leads the casts of her first mainstream solo act in Primetime without former love-team Gerald Anderson, was blessed to have 3 partners in the said series namely Jolo Revilla, Xian Lim and Matteo Guidicelli. ABS-CBN may possibly aims to meet Chiu’s future loveteam out of these options. And luckily, the goal has been reached.
Kim’s Possible Best Actress Award:
On its first 2 weeks, Kim’s acting was a bit of a mediocre performance since there is a lacking of variations in her facial and verbal expressions as compared to her previous TV series “My Girl”, “Sana’y Maulit Muli”, “Tayong Dalawa” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo”. Her character in some ways are childish and irritating and it drives away Kim’s acting prowess. Eventually, the princess recovers and take a very warm, passionate and tender loving Jade (her role). Chiu made an impression and delivers the real intentions of a “good daughter” to her father as well as to the surrounding people. She executed an unforgettable role where you can feel her emotions and would carry away through her falling tears. That’s why many viewers shared their deep sympathy to Jade’s hardships just to win the love of her father while balancing her family, work and love-life. She became a good instrument for their own inspirations.
One thing memorable about Kim in this drama is when she portrayed Yuan (Jade’s deceased brother) where she became emotional to meet and be loved by her own father: how she seeks, how she tries and how she will always love Papa Chen.
Finding the Right Guy: Xian
It was initially a quite cute couple for Jolo who plays Onyx and Kim (Jade) who happens to be the best of friends in the said series. Their ‘dog-cat’ petty fighting is easily picked by viewers and they find it cute. Matteo Guidicelli is way too unpopular. But it was Xian Lim who took the significant moment to embrace our Binondo Girl after helping Jade by protecting her secret (Yuan’s identity) from his father. Since then, feelings between the two developed and they fell in love to each other. Despite several difficulties in keeping the relationship, Xian and Kim magnificently uncovers the magic of loving someone and being loved by someone. This love-team is one of the most promising this year.
My Binondo Girl Flaws
The said series was first introduced to be a light drama, rom-com TV series but in the process of the airing of the said series especially in the middle part until the end, it is considerably categorized as heavy drama. Consistency is a vital factor for any shows for viewers to constantly patronize them.
