The film is produced under Reality Entertainment, Star Cinema, and The O&Co. Picture Factory starring the Comedy Queen and GMA’s Primetime Queen. The lead stars also co-produced the film which opened in theaters on October 2, 2013 as part of Star Cinema’s 20th Anniversary presentation.

It also stars Roderick Paulate, Gloria Diaz, Edward Mendez, Nova Villa, Ruffa Gutierrez, Martin Escudero, Roy Alvarez, Precious Lara Quigaman and Bianca Manalo.

Despite rave reviews from film critics, Kung Fu Divas fails to attain a mega blockbuster status considering that Ai Ai is a prominent Box Office star and Marian as the no. 1 female star of the Kapuso star. The movie is directed by Onat Diaz who also write the story.
