Ramon Bong Revilla Aims To Dethrone Praybeyt Benjamin Via His 2012 MMFF Entry with P400M As Highest Grossing Filipino Film of All Time!

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla targets his 2012 MMFF entry Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako to be the Highest Grossing Filipino Film of All Time and aims to dethrone current no. 1 film, Vice Ganda‘s The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin of Star Cinema and Viva Films.

mmff si agimat, si enteng and me

The senator-actor-host predicted that his official entry to Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 which also leads by box office stars  Vic Sotto and Judy Ann Santos will accumulate a whopping P400 million gross receipts.

Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Ako is a crossover of Agimat and Enteng Kabisote film franchises. It also combines the production, marketing and film distribution savvy of five joint producers Octoarts Films, M-Zet Productions, Imus Productions, APT Entertainment and GMA Films.

In their media conference, Sen. Bong attended alongside other cast members including Sam Pinto and Jillian Ward, he said that the film targeted as a family film with children as primary market, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Jilian would likely doubles its box-office appeal.
Is Mr. Revilla turning himself so ambitious and boastful in predicting these HUGE amount considering that viewers may feel the so called ‘SAWA Factor’ and there are a lot of strong contenders which is likely to sell hot cakes too?! He should learned to be humble as what Ms. Juday said that if their movie will not achieve the no. 1 spot, she would be the one to blame. That’s what a true artist is, even if we knew that it’s not her fault if their entry won’t match other Enteng Kabisote franchises, she would still accept the blame. She does not crave for title or honor to be one of the highest top-grosser for this year. On the contrary, it seemed that the senator wants the title so bad!
ramon
And take note, the Highest Grossing Pinoy Film of All Time is The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin with P331.61 Million that even Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas could not break!

Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Disgusts Over Video Scandal of Ramgen And Janelle; Asks NBI For Help!

Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jr. reveals he was disgusted  and angry over the video scandal circulating over the Internet world particularly those network sharing sites showing his murdered brother, Ramgen Revilla and girlfriend, Janelle Manahan doing the “couple thing”.

Revilla, who happens to be the co-author of the Republic Act 9995, or the Anti-Voyeurism Law of 2009 expresses his disgust and asks National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to help them find the culprit behind the upload and to stop spreading the video as well.

“Masyado na nila binaboy ang kapatid ko,” he said. “Ngayon, pati si Janelle nadadamay pa sa kababuyan nila.”

Therefore, whoever uploaded said video is breaking the law and must face the consequences.

It falls under video voyeurism which is defined as an “act of taking photo or video coverage of a person or group of persons performing sexual act or any similar activity or of capturing an image of the private area of a person or persons without the latter’s consent, under circumstances in which such person/s has/have a reasonable expectation of privacy, “or the act of selling, copying, reproducing, broadcasting, sharing, showing or exhibiting the photo or video coverage or recordings of such sexual act or similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and similar means or device without the written consent of the person/s involved, notwithstanding that consent to record or take photo or video coverage of same was given by such person’s.”

Whoever violates this law is facing a seven-year imprisonment and/or a fine of P100,000.

The recognition was based by the collections of box office receipts from all SM Cinema’s 230 theaters in 40 branches nationwide from January-December 2010. MMFF Films Of 2010; Weak Contenders For Other Local Award Giving Bodies For Movies?

It was Star Cinema’s “Tanging Ina (Last Na To)” which took most of the major awards in the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was closely followed by the anticipated winner “Rosario”, while RPG Metanoia also received multiple awards. But the question is, will the winners deserves a nod for other award winning bodies like Famas, PMPC Star Awards for Movies, Guillermo Foundation Awards, Gawad Urian, Golden Screen Awards, Luna Awards and others?

Controversies for the final list of nominees and the winners itself have been constantly talked about and argued. For instant, Jennylyn Mercado’s performance snob a nod for Best Actress alongside the director of acclaimed movie “Rosario”, Albert Martinez did not get a nomination for the Best Director.

Tanging Ina was also argued of taking home a lot of major awards despite of the fact that the movie itself is a comedy one. But, the performance of Ai Ai delas Alas was also exceptional. It would be a good fight for Mercado and delas Alas as well as Kris Aquino in “Dalaw” who was likewise rejected a nod for Best Actress instead Marian Rivera “Super Inday and The Golden Bibe” and Carla Abellana ‘Shake Rattle and Roll XII” received the nod.

In addition, Dolpy who was surprisingly made a history for grabbing two major awards which are Best Actor “Father Jejemon” and Best Supporting Actor for “Rosario” was something you can say pity awards. The former award could be deserving but the latter is sort of off! Why? Sid Lucero should get the Best Supporting Actor for “Rosario”. The King of Comedy only appeared as a special guest there, so he should be given an award for Best performance in special appearance, not best supporting actor right?

And the line up for best actor final nominees was also not credible. Ramon Bong Revilla and Vic Soto for “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote” and Dolphy for “Father Jejemon”. Is this sort of, “pasang awa” nominations?

On the contrary, check out the list of winners below.
